Katniss wins the vote

Results of the Kimbolton School World Book Day online survey have revealed that female characters have the upper hand in novels with Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games voted the greatest fictional hero! The ultimate villain was, of course, Harry’s nemesis, Lord Voldemort, with ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ voted the 21st century book destined to be a future classic. Interestingly, three of Kimbolton School’s Summer Reads featured in the top six (‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’, ‘The Book Thief’ and ‘Wonder’ each received over 10% of the vote).
